An Easter Night of Magic,Laughter and Connection at SkyTop Lodge

There’s something special about performing at a place like SkyTop Lodge. The moment you walk in, you can feel the history in the walls and the warmth in the atmosphere. Last night, Miss Direction and I, Mark Mysterrio The Funniest Magician On The Planet, had the chance to bring our magic show to their guests, and it turned into one of those evenings that stays with you long after the props are packed away. Just under fifty people showed up, which created the perfect setting for a show built on interaction, laughter, and those little moments that only happen when the audience is close enough to feel like part of the act. Everyone was relaxed, open, and ready to have fun, and that energy carried through the entire night. Who knows, maybe it is the magic of Skytop or just that amazing Easter Dinner.

We leaned heavily into audience participation, and it paid off. People weren’t just watching the show—they were in it. They were laughing with us, reacting with genuine surprise, and sharing the kind of joy that makes magic feel alive. When a room is that connected, the show almost performs itself. You can feel the rhythm, the timing, the spark. It’s the kind of environment every magician hopes for, and SkyTop delivered it beautifully. After the show, guests came up to us to say thank you, not out of politeness, but because they truly meant it. Those conversations, those smiles, those moments of connection are the real reward, especially for me.

I’ve been performing magic for forty years now, it’s my ruby anniversary and nights like this remind me exactly why I started performing magic in the first place. Magic has taken me through eras of entertainment that don’t exist anymore, through resorts that once buzzed with life and are now quiet memories. SkyTop brought a little of that feeling back. It reminded me of the joy that first pulled me into this world and the joy that still keeps me here. There’s something powerful about seeing families laugh together, couples share a moment, and kids walk away with wide eyes and big smiles. It’s a reminder that even after all these years, the wonder is still there. This holds true for the audience and also for me. After forty years, I am still loving the magic I once loved as a child.

Before everyone left, we handed out “We Met Mark Mysterrio” stickers, and you’d be surprised how something so simple can make people light up. It’s a small keepsake, but it turns the night into a memory they can take home. Watching guests walk out with those stickers in their hands and on their body, like a name badge of pride, felt like the perfect ending to a night that already felt special. SkyTop Lodge has a way of making everything feel a little more magical, and being part of that atmosphere was an honor.

If you’re planning an event and want entertainment that brings people together, creates real moments, and leaves guests smiling long after the night is over, I’d be happy to help make that happen. You can reach me anytime at 1‑872‑21‑MAGIC. You can also email me at: mrmysterrio@yahoo.com
